strawberries and spinach
last night i made a very tasty strawberry spinach salad. i had never made a strawberry spinach salad before. i found a recipe on allrecipes.com. it looked great, the dark green of the spinach against the red of the strawberries. the best part is that the strawberries and the spinach were grown here on my farm. yum yum

I really love strawberry & spinach salad, MMMMM.
I made something similar myself in the past couple of days, using mixed salad greens from Elizabeth Telling Farms, strawberries from Hann Farms, feta cheese from Blue Jacket Creamery, topped with a really tasty raspberry-poppy seed vinaigrette. I can't get enough, and the freshness of using all local stuff can't be beat. :)
BTW, here's a pic of the salad in question. :) The red against green really does make for a striking presentation, I agree.
