here is what we canned up on monday of this week. 15 pints of corn, 6 pints of green beans, 1 pint and 13 1/2 pints of salsa and 14 quarts of potatoes. i don't have the pear butter on the hoosier yet, since it's going in the canner today. i think i'm going to hold off on canning through the weekend. i have plans to can next monday. it's about time to get some tomatoes on the shelves.

Great job! I've canned a bit this summer. We're hoping to buy some winter squash to keep us up with eating local this winter. We're HUGE fans of squash soup. I'm also getting potatoes & cabbage.
I'm with you, I can some things and freeze some things. Generally I freeze blueberries, and other berries, and corn, I can the rest. Except beans, those only get eaten fresh (don't like canned or frozen).
Do you like canned corn better than frozen? I was wondering which option was better, we typically freezer ours.
